Eyecare with time to listen
Every eye examination is carried out by Victoria, our resident optometrist, in a well-equipped consulting room. We offer private and NHS eye examinations, with longer appointments so there is time to ask questions and understand what we have found.
Children are always welcome. Their eye examination is adapted to their age and confidence, and we also offer specialist children’s frames and help with hospital prescriptions and NHS optical vouchers. Find out more about children’s eyecare.
If your prescription has changed very little, we will say so. We will explain whether new lenses are likely to make a worthwhile difference, and leave the decision with you.
OCT eye scans are available as an optional addition when they may provide useful extra information about the health of your eyes. We also provide NHS Urgent Eyecare (CUES) appointments for recent eye problems; contact the practice and we will advise whether the service is suitable.

Our frames are selected for quality, comfort, fit, style and value. We will help you find something that feels right, and can often order another colour or model from one of our ranges for you to try without obligation.
Lens advice starts with how you use your eyes at work, at home, when driving and during the things you enjoy. We can also help if previous glasses have never felt quite right, fit new lenses into many suitable existing frames, and advise on prescription sunglasses.
Contact lenses
We fit contact lenses for new wearers and provide regular aftercare appointments for existing wearers. These appointments allow us to check your vision, comfort, lens fit and the health of your eyes, and to discuss other options if your current lenses are no longer working as well as they should.
For regular wearers, our monthly payment plan offers a convenient way to manage contact lenses and ongoing care, including home delivery, regular sight tests and aftercare, cleaning solution where required, discounts on glasses and sunglasses, and free trials of alternative lenses.
Aftercare for you and your glasses
Once you have collected your glasses, you are always welcome to return for free adjustments if they become loose, sit unevenly or need a careful tweak.
Every new pair also comes with a cleaning cloth and cleaning solution, with free refills when you bring the empty bottle back to us.
